We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Functional Skills Tutor/ NVQ Assessor to work for one of the UK’s most successful training providers.
This is an excellent time to group as this Training Provider is going through an exciting period of growth.
The Functional Skills Tutor/Apprentice Assessor will be offered a highly competitive salary of up to £26,40025 days holiday, healthcare, child care vouchers and various discounts. The Functional Skills Tutor /NVQ Assessor will work Monday-Friday based on a 37.5 hour working week.
The Functional Skills Tutor / NVQ Assessor will be supporting learners within foundation learning in Customer Services and Business Enterprise
The Functional Skills Tutor/NVQ Assessor will require the following Qualifications and Experience
– A1 Assessors Award or TAQA (D32, D33 will also be considered)
– PTLLS or above
– Functional Skills Qualification are highly desirable
– Experience of delivering functional skills to groups in a classroom environment
– Previous Experience of supporting learners on Customer Service/Business Admin Programmes
– Up to date knowledge of functional skills and foundation learning programmes
– Full UK Driving License and Own Transport

Overview of the Functional Skills/ NVQ Assessor – Business Admin/Customer Services
Based in Lowestoft the Functional Skills Tutor/NVQ Assessor will be mainly classroom based, however there may be the need to support learners in the workplace The Functional Skills Tutor will be supporting learners who are engaged on foundation learning programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of Functional Skills and delivery of the required units so the learner obtains the Customer Service/Business Administration Qualification. The Functional Skills Tutor will be preparing lesson plans and conducting weekly reviews with the learner.. You will be supporting the learner with guidance, delivery and assessment of the Key Units to achieve the qualification. The Tutor will also be providing the learner with employability.
The Functional Skills Tutor/Assessor will carry out all the necessary paperwork, ensuring high levels of Quality Assurance.
