Senior Electronic Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

As a Senior Electronic Engineer you will be instrumental in, and at the forefront of, full cycle product development of electronics control systems for advanced precision opto-electronic products.
Contributing your electronic expertise to the team, you’ll be designing a wide range of automated electro-mechanical precision built, integrated products that are high quality, reliable and supplied to leading educational, research and manufacturing customers

Senior Electronic Engineer responsibilities:
* Design and realise cost-effective new systems, circuits and devices, using concurrent engineering techniques
* Develop detailed product specifications through test and characterisation
* Discuss, brainstorm and solve complex problems with team members, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufacturing departments
* Ensure product reliability and safety regulations are met, DFMA is incorporated as well as the commercial implications
* Plan and oversee the product development, considering cost, safety and time constraints
Senior Electronic Engineer essential skills and qualities
* A good degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, or significant relevant experience
* Proven hands on experience of electronics product design, both digital and analogue with a high level of technical knowledge and IT skills
* Experience in analogue design: low noise, high bandwidth amplify design, closed loop design
* Digital: servo loop design and modelling, control and data acquisition systems.
* Experience in embedded software development in assembler and C
* Experience on PCB layout design (Altium desirable)
