Salary: £27,600 – £31,200 per year
Due to continued expansion we are looking for a HR Administrator/Assistant. You will be handling all the day-to-day HR administration, as well as working closely with the operations team to support recruitment activity across the company. This is a full-time, permanent role, which will involve some travel.
The role would be ideal for someone who is an Assoc. Member of the CIPD and has either qualified or working towards qualification at any level.
Detail
You will be responsible for:
All new starter documentation – the production of offer letters and contracts and all associated paperwork. Collection of this documentation back in and carrying out appropriate right to work checks and obtaining references.
Setting up personnel files, both paper and electronic.
Assisting with the Induction and On-boarding processes for new employees.
To assist our Accounts Department in the smooth operation of Payroll, by providing accurate information around new starters and leavers and key changes to terms.
Processing all leavers and archiving paperwork, as well as carrying out Exit Interviews.
Maintaining and updating accurate records of employees, including populating our new HR system, becoming familiar with reporting capabilities and setting up useful reports on key HR metrics.
General correspondence, such as, confirmation of pay increases or other changes to terms and conditions.
Recording and tracking employee absence. Highlighting any areas of concern to the HR Manager and line management, where appropriate.
Administration associated with maternity/paternity/shared parental leave and flexible working requests.
Carrying out a wide range of activities associated with recruitment: Tracking candidates, sifting CV’s and applications, arranging interviews, dealing with recruiters to place new job roles, drafting job summaries for the Company website.
Carrying out workstation assessments.
Support with grievance & disciplinary procedures.
Education, Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities:
Previous experience of working in a similar role in a busy office environment is essential.
An Assoc. Member of the CIPD, having studied at Level 3 Foundation, Level 5 Intermediate or Level 7 Advanced or be working towards any one of these qualifications.
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office tools – Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
Good standard of general education.
Self-motivated, with excellent organisation and time management skills.
Able to work using their initiative, but also able to work as part of a small busy team, working under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
Accurate, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role, along with the ability to build good working relationships with managers and staff.
