Salary: £33,600 – £39,600 per year

ALH Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Manager for our client based in the Doddington area of Cambridgeshire. 

Logistics experience for this role is essential.

The purpose of the role is to lead the customer service team and to ensure excellent levels of quality in communication and service provision, along with excellent quality and accuracy of departmental output.

You will support and develop your team to increase customer satisfaction and building necessary skills to retain and grow profitable customers by identifying, quantifying and adding great value to customers. You’ll monitor & manage resourcing & structure of the team to ensure workload is managed effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading the customer service team to build and maintain positive customer relationships through high quality communication, collaboration with planning to ensure 100% order fulfilment and appropriate after care for all allocated customer accounts and provision of timely, accurate information to customers as required
  • Manage high quality day to day decision-making in a fast-paced environment to support service levels and operational excellence
  • To maintain positive and proactive commercial relationships with customers by ensuring provision of consistently high standards of service
  • Ensuring continuous dialogue with key stakeholders at customers to ensure opportunities are maximised and any useful commercial intelligence is passed to appropriate commercial colleagues.
  • Ensuring all Company information systems are maintained promptly and accurately.
  • Working closely with operations to drive business process improvements & efficiencies in intra-departmental working practices and business processes
  • Work closely with finance to manage sales revenue reporting & accruals.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • Good standard of general education
  • Driving Licence
  • Previous experience of management or supervision in a customer service role and previous experience in the logistics industry
  • Confident decision maker
  • Highly effective communication skills & ability to tailor communication to audience, opportunity & circumstances
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive approach, willing to provide help wherever needed
  • Excellent excel skills

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level
