Salary £28,800 – £32,400DOE

The Candidate

* Ideally 2 years materials control experience from a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG but others will be considered
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
* An organized, consistent team player with a high level of initiative
* Analytical, with the ability to present sound recommendations
* Experience of dealing with International suppliers preferred
* Experience of MS office package with proficiency of using excel to an intermediate level
* MRP and ERP system experience
* Working knowledge of inventory management and stock accuracy an advantage
* Strong consumer/ customer focus
* A strong drive for results
* Good communication skills

The Role

* To manage the supply of materials to the production site in order to support the production plan whilst ensuring that demand requirements and inventory targets are achieved
* Analysis of customer forecasts, supplier lead-times, MOQ’s, shipping methods, storage constraints and production requirements offering recommendations.
* Apply the purchase order process to ensure efficient and effective processing
* Maintain data within the MRP systems & have a clear understanding of the data and its relationship to schedule creation
* Create a production plan for the on-site grinding room to ensure that key ingredient mixes are available to fulfil the production plan
* Produce and analyse various weekly and periodic reports.

* Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure that communication and supply of information is always at the highest level
* Ensure raw material inventory is held within agreed limits and available on site to deliver weekly production plans.
* Identify and implement initiatives to optimize inventory holding further and ensure that initiatives are tracked and the expected benefit is delivered
* Manage the life-cycle of designated products from concept to run-out providing clear communication and minimizing exposure
