Test Lead / Super-User

With a brand-new, state-of-the-art National Distribution Centre going live we require a number of Warehouse Management System (WMS) / Distribution Centre Test/Implementation professionals to work alongside the test managers.
Leading the daily, weekly test activities you will prove the functionality and performance of the solution; supporting in the motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing tests in line with scripts to prove business requirements and delivering world class service performance.
You will have previous automation experience, have been involved in the start-up of a Distribution Centre and have a Logistics background.
Skills required:
Extensive experience in the commissioning, testing and start-up of system driven warehousing management and control solutions.
Comprehensive understanding and experience with Microsoft Office products; specifically Excel, Word and Project.
Expert user experience with RedPrairie, SSI WCS, Metapack or similar systems.
Understanding of PRINCE2 or similar project methodology (current certification is a benefit).
Good understanding and experience with Microsoft Access and HP Quality Centre is a benefit.
Principal Accountabilities:
Coordinate and execute the test scenarios and scripts for the UAT & SAT test phases.
Support and assist the execution of the MHE commissioning, OAT and Performance Test activities.
Coordinate and execute the test scenarios and scripts for any changes and upgrades to ensure they are correctly and thoroughly tested prior to release.
Support and deliver all aspects of defined WMS, WCS & Metapack test phases.
Ensure all test requirements are achieved and maintained to support throughput targets for the duration of the defined periods.
Ensure all relevant reporting data and information is captured, recorded and communicated in line with the test governance requirements.
Ensure all the required release note documentation is in line with delivery.
Record test results, defining any additional scenarios or functionality to be tested that isn’t already covered in the original approach.
Record all defects correctly within agreed timescales, for all test phases.
Co-ordinates each test phase acceptance criteria and presents go/no go recommendations to the Programme and Test Managers.
After testing is complete, you will have the opportunity to move into an operational role on site, or join central operations support within a centre of excellence.
Salary: £54,000
