Opportunity with a very successful, global professional services/business advisory firm. Financial Reporting is an exciting, dynamic and fast-growing environment. To support continued growth, this organisation is looking for a new Project Manager to work alongside Client Service Managers in the delivery of exceptional client service.

Financial Reporting Project Manager – About The Role

As Project Manager you will be responsible for developing, embedding and championing effective project management across the Financial Reporting team, supporting the delivery of solutions to clients.

  • Lead on KYC process and act as liaison between client, client service team and KYC team including:
  • Monitoring and completing upcoming renewals in collaboration with client service managers.
  • Ensure continuing compliance with the firm’s CDD procedures.
  • Independence / conflicts management.
  • Lead on contracting / engagement letter process, drafting contracts and managing appropriate approvals as well as managing changes to scope / contracts / deliverables.
  • WIP and billing management for client projects, including preparing invoices, completing write offs / nil bills and managing WIP provisions in collaboration with client service managers.
  • Debt monitoring and management, including supporting Client Service Managers in following up with clients.
  • Management of service line billing schedules and tracking budget vs actuals.
  • Support with service line budgeting.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and an appropriate attitude to risk to ensure exceptional client service is provided to clients at every stage of the project.
  • Workflow management for client projects and processes – producing trackers, checking progress, reporting and escalating as appropriate.
  • Identifying, allocating and co-ordinating resources to projects.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of project plans and timetables to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Supporting the creation of and leading on the monitoring of budgets.
  • Coordination and monitoring of deliverables, including compilation reports and letters of representation.
  • Coordination of the bid process with the team members responsible for operational leadership of sales and marketing.
  • Working with marketing team to ensure materials and credentials are up to date.
  • Assist with proposal creation and finalisation where required.

The successful Financial Reporting Project Manager will be/have:

  • Adept at overcoming barriers to completing tasks. Takes ownership of issues, either finding a solution or seeking advice where necessary. Seeks to remove barriers that prevent fee earners from focusing on productive work, e.g. by undertaking administrative processes.
  • Strong project management experience in (in order of preference) a Finance, Professional Services or Financial Services environment or a qualified accountant looking for a less technical role.
  • Experience in managing projects both with and without a PMO / Project Office in place.
  • Experience of working in customer or client-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication skills and with the ability to influence, experienced at presenting at a senior level, internally and to clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent understanding of a variety of project management methodologies, preferably including PRINCE2. Strong project management skills, process and outcome driven
