Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year
An amazing opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join a world leader in all areas of load measurement, strain and stress determination across a wide spectrum of applications. They are involved in monitoring and control systems or structural stress and fatigue analysis offering the total solution. Working for clients in various sectors including: oil and gas, marine and defence. Based on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
1. JOB PURPOSE
As Senior Electronics Engineer you will oversee all aspects of electronic & systems engineering, manufacturing, test engineering and hardware support activities. You will be working to deliver solutions within a larger team.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Electronic – analogue and digital systems
• Project management of relevant product developments
• Coordinating, prioritising and reporting on tasks or projects
• Budget monitoring for design projects
• Engineering support for production, projects, sales and service departments
• Management of engineering change, non-conformance and corrective actions associated within electrical/electronic teams product group
• Lead and direct a team of Electronic/Electrical/Software/Commissioning Engineers.
• Maintain expert instrument engineering knowledge in equipment selection and design.
• Work with equipment vendors and engineering contractors
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout operations; reducing variation in processes, improving efficiencies, working methods, test systems, product quality, communication …
• Lead specification, development and application of instrumentation equipment for a range of industries
• Authorise holidays, absence and time reports for team members
• Assist with training team members as and when required
3. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of electronic systems – analogue and Digital
• Design skills in electronic engineering
• Knowledge of ATEX requirements
• Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks/projects
• Previous role at a senior level
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer focus
• At least a 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Eligible to work in the UK without restriction
