Store Manager

A vacancy has arisen for a Store Manager located in our store in Darlington.

Hotter Shoes was set up in 1959 and have been designing and making footwear now for 50 years! Since then product innovation, world class production facilities and continual reinvestment in the business has seen our shoe collections expand beyond all recognition and our circle of Hotter friends grow by hundreds of thousands each year.

Now is an exciting time to join Hotter Shoes as we are planning significant growth over the next two years and are currently embarking on a new store opening programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR STORE MANAGER

• Reporting to the Area Sales Manager your key responsibility will be to drive your staff to deliver measurable excellence in Customer Service, delivering high quality customer care in an efficient & customer- friendly manner
• Contribute to the financial forecasting, planning and budgeting processes
• Coach and develop the store team
• Recruit and train the team, ensuring outstanding levels of product knowledge
• Commercially plan for your retail business, considering financial forecasting and budgeting
• Drive sales, average price and customer service
• Maintain high store standards ensuring the excellent display of this quality high end product
• Achieve target against all retail operation Key Performance Indicators

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TEAM LEADER

• As a Team Leader you will play a vital role in ensuring the business runs smoothly, working alongside the Store Manager, you will assist and support in all areas, taking full responsibility in their absence
• You will play an active part in setting smart targets and personal development plans, with the ability to organise your own work load and delegate to team members as necessary to ensure standards and performance is kept to a high standard
• Leading by example, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, and making sure other members of the team present the same positive and helpful image
• Creating a welcoming store environment for both customers and team members
