Senior Architectural Designer

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

A rapidly expanding business in the heart of Ipswich, Suffolk are currently recruiting for a Senior Architectural Designer.

This is a permanent role which has arisen due to growth, is paying a competitive salary and has some great benefits, which are all listed below.

What does the position involve?

As a Senior Architectural Designer you will be responsible for configuration management and project outputs
Preparing applications for planning, building control and working drawings (for pricing and construction issue purposes)
Lead and co-ordinate the project design team throughout all stages of the projects
Required to produce BIM compliant working drawings and specifications
Confirm the design deliverables and get involved with the production of design outputs
Oversee an architectural team to make sure that they are achieving their weekly goals
Ensure that all projects are completely in a timely manner and on budget
Liaising with customers externally such as architects and construction professionals
Travelling to construction sites and client meetings on a regular basis
Constantly look at more efficient ways of how to improves on processes
Applicant requirements:

Degree within architecture or similar
5 years plus background working within an architectural industry
Strong design and drawing skills needed
Good understanding in buildings and the built environment
Proficient user on CAD & Microsoft office packages
An Interest in wanting to work towards chartership would be preferred
