F&b / Duty Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year

Workplace description: This 4-star hotel & spa is a converted Edwardian mansion with panoramic views of the Gower and Carmarthenshire coastline. The hotel offers

stylish en suite rooms and guests can dine within the contemporary Bar & Grill area with views of the coastline.

The main duties will include but are not limited to;Managing all aspects of the guest journey in order to maintain exceptional levels of customer service.

Planning for and managing the daily business of the Hotel across all areas, including Guest Check-in/out, Weddings, Food and Beverage Departments, Spa, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.

Managing guest expectations, including dealing with and resolving any guest service issues if they arise.

Managing and motivating staff in all areas, including front and back of house.

Ensuring that Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

Managing daily communication meetings and staff briefings.

Ensuring adherence by staff to the agreed standards of grooming & appearance, demeanour & behaviour.

Essential criteria: The successful applicant must:

Have at least 1 year of experience in a management role within a Hotel/Resort Team.

Experience in a Food and Beverage position in a fast-paced environment.

Experience using Front of House/Reservations systems.

Possess excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Have a particular strength for motivating staff to achieve exceptional levels of service.

Be an enthusiastic and positive team player, capable of building strong working relationships across the Hotel.

Be able to work well while under pressure, showing initiative whilst multi-tasking.

Have a passion for working in the Hospitality Industry.

Have a flexible work approach, being available to work a variety of shifts and weekends.
