Games Developer (Web Based with Phaser)

Salary: £33,600 – £48,000 per year

We’re recruiting for an experienced Games Developer (web based with Phaser, Pixi.js or Fabric.js) to work in a growing Tech Agency who specialise in games and mobile apps. Working in this established agency who have achieved year on year growth over the last 7 years by naturally winning new clients through excellent work, this represents a fantastic opportunity for a Developer experienced in building web based games (Phaser, Pixi.js or Fabric.js) to join them as they look to continue growth to the next level.

In this mid-level Developer role, you would work within the agency as part of a team who concentrate solely on gaming and in this role, web-based gaming (not Unity, C#). The role will be to work on a series of betting and casino games, working closely with end clients, other developers and the project lead. There is huge opportunity to develop in this role and grow within this agency. Your personality, drive and desire to enhance your skills will help you to achieve this!

Duties:

* Front end development of new web-based games and supporting the current portfolio

* Develop HTML, JavaScript games targeted for mobile and desktop

* Work closely with the wider games team and server team

Experience required:

* Must be from a gaming background

* Front end development, HTML5, JavaScript, cross platform mobile development

* Understanding of design patterns

* Professional or personal experience with Phaser and/or Pixi and/or Fabric

* Portfolio of games (both professional and personal) that can be demonstrated

Advantageous:

* Client/Server integration and debugging

* Optimisation of design and animations for performance and bandwidth

This is a live role being recruited for during the Covid-19 pandemic. The interview process has been adapted and online interviews will be scheduled as necessary. This is not a major thing for this company as remote working is part of the role anyway. You will however need to be within commuting distance of Manchester City Centre as part of the working week is (usually) spent in the office.
