Job Position: Master Data Analyst (Excel) – data migration

Job Status: Contract – 3 months initially

Job Profile:

To support its growth, the Space Imaging Production Control Manager is leading the implementation of SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) and Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) systems to complement the existing SAP ECC platform. This involves a significant master data task to migrate Bill of Materials (BoMs); Routes and Material Masters (MM) into SAP from legacy systems as well as defining and establishing the Master Data required for SAP ME functionality (for example Roles/User Groups; Operations; Data Collection and Non Conformance Routes etc.).

The Master Data Analyst will play a key role in executing the data migration Strategy and ensuring the accuracy and timely completion of all master data requirements in support of the project and post go-live.

Experience

Essential:

To succeed in this role you must have:

A proven track record of accurate and prompt data cleansing activities and deliverables, such data validation, data quality and data governance.

Advanced use of Excel

Excellent attention to detail; resilience and ability to achieve results under tight timescales.

First language English is essential and although French speaking (or other languages) is not a requirement of the role, it would be a distinct advantage.

Main Accountabilities

Data Migration Execution

Work with the Data Migration Lead, subject matter experts, the SAP Project Team and IT to assist with the identification, definition, collation and documentation of the business requirements for data migration.

Extract existing process ‘routes’, BOM’s and MM’s from their existing sources (Word documents) and transfer to the Excel template ready for migration to SAP ME.

Execute the data migration process to maximise efficiency and accuracy of migration, using advanced Excel skills to ensure timely and accurate transfer of data.

Ensure compliance with data configuration change control during migration phases and supporting documentation.

Data Cleansing

Develop robust methods of error checking data and verify accuracy of data ready for migration.

Identify and implement standardisation of process operations where possible.

Data Support

Work with IT and key stakeholders in business to develop and implement a suitable archive strategy.

Presentation of revised data formats to business owners for approval.

Health and Safety

Proactively maintain a safe working environment with compliance to all local working procedures and use of appropriate protective equipment where appropriate.

Foster a proactive approach to Health and Safety by for example (and not limited to) raising Hazard Spot Forms and registering any ‘Near Miss’ incidents. Technical Assessment

To support the compiling of technical project proposals based on project scope documents to meet the aims of the project. Review project specifications and advise on feasibility of proposals

Hours: 37 per week

(Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5pm & Fri 8.30am-4.30pm)

Rate: £Negotiable
