Salary: £30,000 per year
The successful candidate will be an organised and enthusiastic Software Engineer with strong problem solving skills to join the Development Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Development the role of this engineer will be the development of software in new products, typically embedded firmware and PC based software, written mainly in C with some C# and VB.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop loose ideas into product concepts.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Learn new skills and new products.
Essential Skills:
Educated to degree level in a suitable discipline.
Experience of C and C# programming or C and C++.
Experience of coding to coding standards and the use of source control.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of embedded systems software development.
Experience of automated software test tools such as NUnit or CUnit.
Experience of Agile software development.
Experience of programming PLCs.
Experience designing and developing firmware to operate in electronic sub-assemblies.
Experience in VB.
