Operations Controller

Operations Controller – Based in Merthyr Tydfil – Permanent role
Salary up to £26,400per annum depending on experience plus benefits package, bonuses

Acorn Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established international company providing land, air and marine solutions and support.

We are currently seeking an Operations Controller who will be responsible for supporting the spares and repairables function by delivering administrative support on a day-to-day basis.

Role Purpose

You will be accountable for ensuring logistics admin tasks are completed in a timely manner to a high standard, while working as part of the logistics team onsite at the client’s facility in Merthyr Tydfil.

Reporting

The successful candidate will report directly to the Spares Supervisor

Responsibilities

* Managing administrative tasks including undertaking pre-dispatch audits & checks
* Ensuring the ‘Plan for Every Part Register’ is accurately maintained
* Updating & maintaining all assigned logs and trackers
* Management of training administration for Spares & Repairables
* Maintenance of system data
* Storage & archiving of paper and electronic data
* Packaging and consumables management – ensuring no stock run outs
* Performance reporting
* Providing service excellence in materiel availability, troubleshooting activities and joint improvement initiatives in respect of Spares’ delivery
* Adhering to all compliance regulations & company policies

Qualifications / Essentials
* Logistics administration experience required
* Previous experience working in warehouse, logistics or distribution environment ideal
* Experience of Microsoft applications
* Practical experience of MRP / ERP systems
* Capable to hold a security clearance up to the level of SECRET
