We are looking for strong all-rounders who can work across the West Yorkshire and Harrogate primary care system supporting delivery of programmes to introduce innovative practices, products and services and offering advice and guidance around unmet needs and digital innovations.
As a Digital Innovation Hub Programme Manager (Primary Care) you will
Work across West Yorkshire and Harrogate primary care system, including engaging with GPs, AHPs and pharmacy
Be supporting delivery of programmes to introduce innovative practices, products and services into health and care organisations to make a difference to patients and staff.
Be engaging regularly with clinicians, academics, industry representatives and colleagues from other NHS organisations.
Work closely with other Programme Managers and Programme Coordinators within the team and with Programme Leads who are responsible for the management of the team.
Work closely with the ICS digital team and senior primary care clinicians and leads across the region
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Advice and guidance around unmet needs and digital innovations
* Expert advice and support around adoption
* Clinical engagement across primary care
* Workshops and events hosted and evaluated as required
* Mapping and horizon scanning innovations which can have a positive impact across primary care and support wider NHS ambitions aligned to the Long Term Plan, Operational Planning Guidance and other key policy drivers
* Supporting spread and adoption of relevant innovations in our innovation pipeline and digital accelerators
* Support with RWE and impact measurement as required
* Develop pathways and infrastructure to facilitate innovation in Primary Care
* Scoping and engagement activities
* Development and co-ordination of an Innovation Community of Practice (COP) which would support the ICS to foster a culture of innovation within Primary care. Ideas, ways of working, challenges and solutions are shared amongst innovators and innovation leads through a community of practitioners that would come together to shape the NHS Innovation agenda, identifying opportunities for collaboration, spread and adoption. Through these activities and alongside our system partners we would work to create a culture of innovation across the region.
* Communication materials to share and spread digital innovation e.g., case studies
* Access to support and expertise around industry engagement and partnerships, due diligence of potential suppliers and procurement advice.
* Keeping up to date with the national digital policy and funding landscape, for example NHSX funding opportunities and national innovation funding opportunities and sharing intelligence and insights with the wider team.
* Work to develop relationships and influence, to ensure ownership of change is achieved, and that supportive and sustainable performance management frameworks are in place.
* Work with key stakeholders to support implementation of change initiatives in the many organisations that deliver care at primary and community level. Stakeholders must include patients and the wider public.
* Establish and lead communication and engagement activity workshops and events across multiple stakeholders. Manage regular, consistent communications of programme vision and direction using a variety of formats including social media and NHS networks (e.g., via regular progress reports/newsletters).
* To deliver an agreed work plan for programme, which includes specific milestones, activities and outputs.
* To provide regular progress reports to the executive teams and the digital leadership team
* Manage the Programme budget(s)
* To build up an extensive and effective network of contacts in the sectors relevant to the agreed areas of work.
* To maintain regular contact with these contacts to a high professional standard, to maximise cooperation, collaboration and development.
* To identify and exploit opportunities for innovation, development, wealth generation, service and health improvement in the designated area(s) of work.
* To support and contribute to the activities of any governing group relevant to the post holder’s work.
* To measure the impact in line with the required outputs
* To be an expert resource to the structures with which it is associated, by maintaining a high level of current, evidence-based knowledge relevant to the post holder’s areas of work interest.
* To arrange events such as meetings, workshops, webinars etc. in order to maintain a high degree of engagement, awareness, and transparency and to promote cross fertilisation of ideas.
To identify and exploit funding opportunities including, but not limited, to grants, competition awards. This will require experience in establishing collaborative partnerships and funding applications.
* To ensure that appropriate citizen engagement is undertaken relevant to the post holders work programmes
* To play an active role in corporate activities (for example team meetings and timeouts) and information for corporate publications (for example, newsletters, blogs)
