Senior Claims Consultant

Location: Hinckley Office

Package: £33,600 – £37,200depending upon experience

Job Purpose

To deliver outstanding customer service to clients. To manage your own allocation of fee protection claims within the overall portfolio offering the ultimate solution to the practice.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a highly motivated, professional Senior Claims Consultant. Having your own allocation will also help to build a partnership relationship with our Accountancy practices and give you insight into the trends seen by the team. Our aim is to ensure that the overall customer experience is excellent which can be seen by our Feefo reviews! The role will include setting up claims, managing them from start to finish and offering support where necessary to the Accountant by offering services from other areas of the business. You will also be supervising and monitoring the teams KPI’s and workload in the absence of the Claims Control Manager. Industry experience is NOT required as full training is provided, but an ability to think outside of the box is a pre-requisite for the job.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage and control an allocation of claims working in close collaboration with the Accountancy practice, Claims team, Sales Account Managers and Underwriters.
  • Working within approved limits, agree fee increases, authorise payments, regularly review the claim and offer support when needed to the accountant.
  • Operate an outstanding level of customer service to ensure the customer journey is the best it can be.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and procedures within the team and make recommendations of any relevant changes to the Claims Control Manager
  • Assist within the team where necessary.
  • Be a mentor to the trainee claims consultant(s).

What you Bring to the Team

  • Tax background preferred although Industry experience NOT required.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to be commercially aware of the market needs.
  • Good communicator at all levels.
  • Able to deal with detail, be methodical, analytical and accurate.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Cert CII would be an advantage
