Microbiology Quality Control Manager – Norfolk

Opportunity:

Are you a Microbiology Quality Control Manager looking for a new role? Have you managed a microbiology lab? If yes then this is the contract role for you.

My client a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company are looking to recruit an experienced QC/QA Manager to manage their microbiology lab and be responsible for the quality review and decisions regarding quality for the site related to microbiology and contamination control.

You will directly manage a team of 10 employees and will be responsible for ensuring testing is done on time, in compliance with regulatory requirements, while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in the laboratory.

You will mentor, support and manage employees.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

* Employee management including training and development, KPI’s, mentoring and recruitment.

* Ensuring the lab is compliant to regulatory standards (GMP, GLP and Regulatory requirements).

* Ensuring that the testing of raw materials and finished products is conducted in an effective and efficient way.

* Dealing with CAPA’s and deviations.

* Ensuring that the clean rooms are monitored, qualified and risk assessed to ensure compliance with Annex 1 requirements and corporate guidelines.

* Ensuring that the laboratory is maintained to the appropriate standards in terms of 6S to ensure compliance and maintain efficiencies.

* Ensuring appropriate systems are in place to facilitate and document continuous improvement within the QC laboratory and associated functions.

* Preparation, reporting and management of the QC departmental budget.

* Managing the laboratory method transfers and validation of new technologies.

This is a 3 months contract role which will be reviewed for a possible extension but everything is dependent on the individual and business performance. This is a site based role in Norfolk.

The PAYE rate (inside IR35) is £51.37 per hour.

Skills:

* Scientific degree and Microbiology experience within the pharmaceutical industry or related scientific industry.

* Experience in the management and development of staff.
