Roofer

Salary: £19.2 per hour

Our client is a specialist roofing company, based in Leeds, that carries out the repair, restoration and maintenance of listed and period properties, primarily throughout Yorkshire but also further afield.
We are looking for two highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team to help build the company to the next level. We are planning to have multiple teams of operatives working throughout the county; therefore, a successful applicant would also have the opportunity to grow with the company, with promotions and incentives as part of the role.
Applicants must be experienced with all types of slating and tiling with diminishing slating also being required. They must have a good knowledge of lead work, with some knowledge or experience of lead welding preferred but not essential. Applicants must be good at problem solving and thinking outside of the box. You would be working as part of a team but may be required on occasion to work individually on repair work.
Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will be required to interact with customers both during projects and when looking at potential projects. The applicant, ideally, will need to know how to calculate roof areas and all relevant measurements for pricing up purposes, however any candidates not familiar with this will be given training.
* Any successful applicant will need to be hard working, punctual, reliable and take pride in their work in line with our company ethos of offering quality over quantity.
* A full driving licence is essential as you will have the use of a company vehicle.
* 28 days paid holiday a year including bank holidays. Plus two weeks off paid during Christmas.
* Working hours Monday to Friday 8:00 – 16:00 (may vary if needed). Saturdays may be required, as necessary.
