Who we are looking for –

Someone that would describe themselves as a Software Engineer – that has just happened to use either Xamarin, C# or an SQL Guru. Applicants must be willing to undergo training at the expense of the organisation to up-skill and move into more modern languages

Someone who wants to be part of a reputable brand with over 400 legacy Applications that are planning a strategic move to Amazon Web Services. This is going to be a lengthy journey, and they are looking for someone who wants to work with a team of systems developers building scalable products and services.

Someone who’s a team player. The business systems team consists of 50+ people, and this role will be integral, from pair-programming through to sharing ideas.

The Role –

Working alongside c 9 hugely talented Software Engineers, mainly in the Delphi arena, the business has a proven work from home model which has been utilised for the past few years. The core aim will be to maintain and stabilise large legacy systems (written in Xamarin, SQL, C#, Delphi 7 & Sybase), whilst being able to work with the team to help move their code base to the cloud (Amazon Web Services, AWS).

The Opportunity –

We’re looking for someone with proven software skills, that has worked on scalable systems/platforms, in return, the organisation will help upskill in new technology areas including cloud and microservices, no previous experience is necessary.

You’ll be permanently home based and have the opportunity to work with some of the greatest Delphi technologists from around the UK.

We’re looking for skills in –

• Software Development experience using a formal language
• SQL Server or Sybase, or something similar
• Ability to work from home, and interact with other developers and testers
• An interest in utilising new technologies

Role can be commutable from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scotland, England, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Southampton or any other areas
