Financial Controller Required for a Caravan Manufacturing Company

A rare opportunity has arisen to join a young, progressive and exciting Holiday Home manufacturer. In a fast-moving market due to the unprecedented rise in Staycations and a buoyant export market, Holiday Homes sales have gone from strength to strength and they are now looking for a Financial Controller as they continue their journey. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will have ambitious career goals, be highly motivated, a team player and have a keen eye for detail as well as previous experience in a similar role.

Job Description

* Production of monthly management accounts using Sage 50 (P&L and Balance sheet with reconciliation and variance analysis)

* Valuation of month-end WIP and stocks.

* Production of year-end statutory accounts

* Processing of weekly and monthly payroll using Sage, including electronic submissions to HMRC and online banking

* Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

* Control and monitoring of the fixed asset register

* Approval and input of payments online for authorisation Reconciliation of bank accounts Monthly reconciliation and submission of electronic VAT returns from Sage 50

* Cashflow forecasting Pension submissions and reconciliation from Sage

* Dealing with insurances

* Supervision of Purchase Ledger Clerk and covering role in absence

* Monitoring and chasing all outstanding debts

* Providing ad hoc management information as required

* The main point of contact for auditors and bankers

Skills Required

* ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience (essential)

* Experience of payroll (desired)

* Experience of Sage Accounting (desired)

* Excel skills to a reasonable level (desired)
