Our client is a European provider of tailor-made transportation and logistics services. They specialise in delivering innovative and flexible supply chain solutions that add value to their customers businesses
You will be responsible for controlling the trailer freight movements for full loads and will handle collection and delivery of goods on and behalf of your customers
Key Responsibilities include:

• Provide an efficient and cost effective collection and delivery service using sub-contracted resources
• Supply sufficient haulage to ensure service standards are met (including matching collections to deliveries)
• Liaise closely with the customer and haulier
• Deal with, and resolve, all queries relating to service issues or incidents
• Update the in-house computer system
• Provide weekly profit margin reports

Required skills, knowledge and experience:

• Previous freight forwarding experience in Trailer Freight Forwarding in a customer focused operational role
• Excellent organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and manage own work load
• Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
• Positive customer service attitude
• Strong communication skills
• H&S knowledge and awareness would be useful
