Youth Worker

We are looking for Support Assistants to provide additional support for looked after children to include education, sports, life skills, music and drama. You will be working in very small group’s supporting the children with some basic school work and importantly broadening their horizons to include physical and creative activities.
Ideally you will be:-
” Free to work shifts from 2pm – 10pm, 2-3 days per week
” Used to working with primary aged children in a care or education setting
” Able to demonstrate a track record of working with SEND children
” Happy to go the extra mile to create support strategies
” Able to get involved with helping the children develop life skills
” Patient and supportive
” Able to demonstrate professionalism at all times
” Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or very small group basis
” A great communicator
” Able to provide the link between education and care
” Flexible and happy to take on board lots of different challenges
We could consider the following experience:-
– Teaching Assistant NVQ Level 3
– Student studying education or healthcare degree
– Experienced healthcare worker with an interest in education
– Coach – Sports coach with some capacity to support education
To apply you must be able to provide references, be eligible for a DBS and be free to work from 2pm – 10pm up to 3 days per week
