CNC Machinist (Turning)

I’m currently recruiting for a CNC machinist to join a successful engineering company based in the Preston area, would you or anybody you know be interested in the following opportunity:

Role: CNC Machinist (Turning)
Rate: �12 / hr + shift allowance + overtime
Location: Preston
Shift: Permanent nights – Monday to Wednesday / Monday to Thursday

Role:
The role will be working mainly on STAR sliding head machines with a mix of short and long batch runs offering variety to workload. Support may also be needed within the milling division, although milling experience is not essential.

Skills & Knowledge:
As the ideal candidate you’ll have:

* Strong background of working within a precision machining environment
* Experience of setting, operating & editing CNC programs using Fanuc
* STAR sliding head machine experience is a strong advantage
* Knowledge of milling is also beneficial
* Ability to read engineering drawings
