Senior Software Engineer required to join our client in Oxfordshire.
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a highly innovative space company in the heart of Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to work with like-minded individuals on solutions for space missions.
You will be joining a relatively young business with over 100 employees that is growing at an exponential rate and is making true advancements within the space industry!

What is the role?
As a Senior Software Engineer, some of your responsibilities include:
Lead the development and architectural design activities for flight software on spacecraft:
Derive and maintain software requirements, define software solutions and system architectures.
Design, develop and validate spacecraft flight software, simulation and ground test software.
Define ICDs, development and verification plans.
Perform flight software verification, validation and integration.
Coordinate with other teams at sub-system and at system level to identify software needs and solutions.
Support knowledge transfer from teams globally and provide technical review inputs to projects across the organisation.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
What are we looking for?
To be considered for the Senior Software Engineer, we are looking for:
Degree qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or relevant discipline.
Strong hands-on experience in flight software development within the Aerospace or Space industries.
Experience in programming embedded systems (C/C++).
Experience of implementing real-time systems and software on spacecraft missions.
Proactive and self-managing, able to plan and effectively lead areas of responsibility whilst contributing collaboratively within a close-knit team.
