Salary: £26,000 per year
We have been asked by a local, well established manufacturer of quality Kitchen and Living Space Furniture to recruit a Cabinet Maker to join their family business in 2023.
They are looking to recruit a passionate, enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated individual to join their fantastic workshop team working in a well-equipped and modern workshop.
As a Cabinet Maker, you will be part of a team manufacturing high quality (often bespoke) furniture from machined components as per customers unique requirements.
The opportunity is based on demonstratable skills and experience. Responsibilities include:
- The use of both hand and power tools, including any associated equiptment.
- Fitting of doors, draws and assembly of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom cabinetry including all associated hardware.
- Pack and store finished products.
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Ensure paperwork is completed correctly throughout processing.
- To communicate effectively to ensure production targets are met.
- To identify quality issues and defects to prevent further defective products being produced.
- To comply with the company quality policy.
- To comply with the company health and safety policy.
Personal Attributes:
- Previous experience in Cabinet Making / Woodwork industry
- To be confident with all workshop fixed woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Able to work on assembly
- Skills to ensure correct items are cut from cutting lists and checked off correctly
- A good understanding of English and communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- To be well organised and manage time sensibly
- To work well independently and to work as part of a team with the workshop staff
- To have an excellent attention to detail
- To be able to take on instruction from colleagues and clients.
- To have pride in your work
- To be Self-motivated, have self-discipline and persistence.
- Willingness to grow and develop within the company.
- Hard worker that pushes to get things done and only strives for perfection.
Benefits:
39 hour working week (Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm, Friday 7am – 12.15pm).
Overtime is often available

Experience: Joinery / Cabinet Making / Carpentry (minimum 2 yrs)
