Senior Web Developer / PHP Developer
PHP, LAMP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Web Services
Fareham, Hampshire (near Southampton & Portsmouth)
£40,000 to £55,000 + benefits
An exciting new opportunity for a Senior PHP Web Developer to join the skilled development team of an entrepreneurial and highly successful website development and hosting company based in Fareham, Hampshire.
This is an exciting time for the business as they look to launch 5 new web brands and build a highly talented and well-structured development team.
Taking the role of Senior Developer you will…
– Develop new sites using PHP in a LAMP stack environment
– Assist the development manager in shaping and implementing the platform strategy
– Focus on scalability and resilience of future high-traffic and high-profile systems
– Create bespoke, hi-performance components and solutions
– Mentor Junior Developers
The successful applicant will have 5+ years commercial LAMP development experience, an enthusiasm for development and an ability to deliver quality, reusable code.
Essential Requirements…
– Strong understanding of Object-Oriented PHP
– Experience with tools to include: Nginx, Apache, MySQL, Memcached
– Good understanding of the full web stack – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery etc
– Experience of using and defining APIs, ReSt etc
– Understand issues surrounding analysis, scalability, tuning, high availability and concurrency of the platform and hosting infrastructure
