£21,000 – £24,000 + benefits

A market leading Managed Service Provider are looking to at a Junior IT Technician to their well established team. Your role will be to provide effective provisioning, installation, configuration and maintenance / support of IT systems hardware, software and infrastructure, ensuring data security at all times.

Responsibilities:

Administration and Support

and maintain technical issues through the IT Help Desk and IT Project requests. Maintain IT systems to improve performance and resilience. Test and implement new applications / solutions, training and supporting users after rollout. Complying with legal requirements.

Technical / Innovation

Create and maintain technical documentation using defined documentation templates, to support the management and deployment of IT solutions.

Project Management

Plan, monitor and support IT projects through the IT Project Management database and IT activity plans.

IT Governance

Ensure the application of information security policies, principles and practices in respect of both application development and the organisation. Keep updated with legislation regarding the Information Security Management System standards. Support SOX and ISMS audit compliance.

Support IT Management

Provide technical innovation and recommendations for improvements to computer systems and related technologies.

Requirements

Essential

· Minimum 2 years experience or working in an IT support role OR a degree in an IT related discipline

· Strong skills in prioritisation and multi-tasking.

· Good communication skills.

· Must be able to manage time constraints and work to tight deadlines.

· Must be able to work using own initiative.

· Must be willing to travel to support other sites (up to 2 nights away from home per month).

Desirable

· ITIL Foundation Qualification
