Overall Purpose of Job:
To manage the day to day surveying functions of a number of projects from award through to final account to provide the best financial outcome for the company.

Key Duties:
*Assist in the placing of sub-contract packages
*Submit applications for payment
*Measurement and valuation of variations
*Ensure that all statutory payment notices are complied with
*Work closely with the project manager to ensure all statutory notices with respect to extension of time notices are complied with
*Cost control of sub-contractors valuations, agreeing variations, making payments and agreeing final accounts
*Ensure that payments are made on time to maximise cash flow
*Attending site to monitor the progress of projects and liaise with the main contractors site team
*Assist in the preparation of monthly profit and loss forecasts
Skills Required:
*Experience of working with steelwork fabricator
*Experience of dealing with main contractors
*Experienced in the use of the main building sub-contracts such as JCT and NEC
*Commercially aware
*Formal surveying qualification
*Good all round computer literacy (Excel, Sage would be an advantage)
*Team player
*Good communication skills
*Meticulous in administration
*Eye for detail
