Our Client is currently recruiting for a Planner/Scheduler.

Job Role
• Check holidays/sickness/sleep time is updated in Workforce Availability/resource sheet
• Plan all Work orders from received Planning / Jeopardy List and manage all oldest dates (keep to a minimum)
• Plan all work orders received via ICE and SAP system within 48hr/2day compliance
• Ensure that all promotion details are incorporated into the planning of all work orders.
• Utilise all systems to ensure that accurate information is available to Task Teams for all Work Orders (at planning stage).
• Send Operational requests to Supervisors/Support teams and manage timely responses.
• Make supervisors and senior agents aware of any specific plant, tool and traffic
Management requirements.
• Liaise with Council/Highway Authorities (road closures/footpath closures, traffic management etc., and complete relevant forms as required.
• Liaise with the Commercial Team regarding purchase orders etc.
• To not exceed allowances with weekend work and support functions.
• Liaise with YW and supervisors to arrange any planned shut offs that may be required.
• Ensure that any renegotiations are managed and Customers informed and renegotiated on the day of planned work order (YW compliance).
• Understand Individual performance dashboard.
• To ensure thorough validation is carried out prior to planning to eliminate potential cost of failures.
• To escalate any potential cost of failures.
• Run rejection status list edit and force out any necessary work orders.
• Run appropriate list edits and clear duplicate orders.
• Ensure all Ice commitments are met before end of shift.
General Tasks
• Maintain good relationships and set a personal example when dealing with clients, colleagues and the Customer.
• Ensure close liaison with YW embracing the partnership vision.
• Note and Feedback to Section Leader on any issues that arise from the above.
• Ensure conduct is courteous and professional at all times
• Carry out any other reasonable requests.
• Support one another.
Skills Required
• Excellent IT skills (particularly with Microsoft applications – Word/Excel
• Excellent levels of communication
• Ability to obtain information from engineers/subcontractors
• Communicate the importance of reliable planning to all
• Able to manage time effectively and work to reporting schedule
• Experience of working within in the industry, preferably Water / Utilities
• Organized and enthusiastic
• Driven by a fast paced environment and a passion to progress
