Graduate Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer

Our client is an Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who have provided technical advice to the quarrying, construction and waste industries for nearly 30 years. They are a compact organisation involved in nationally significant projects and nurture a close working environment where technical knowledge is shared and ambition rewarded.

Due to our client’s ever increasing workload we are looking for a Graduate Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to be based in Warwickshire and to work on geotechnical projects throughout the UK.

The role will be both office based and site based. Site works will include site investigations, supervision of earthworks, landfill engineering construction quality assurance and monitoring and testing. Office works will include technical report and specification preparation, desk studies and data collation and review. The Candidate should be familiar with the use of MS Office Software. Training will be provided as necessary for the use in slope stability and geotechnical software and AutoCAD and LSS draughting packages.

The candidate should have a BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences (which have a geotechnical element) or a BEng in Civil Engineering. A Masters Degree in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or other related subject would be an advantage. The candidate must have a full driving licence. No experience is necessary and training will be provided for office and site based works.
