Highways Engineer

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

Our major client in York has an exciting opportunity for a Highways Engineer or Highways Technician to join their expanding team, assisting in the delivery of a high quality customer responsive service involving highway, general engineering, transport, and road safety engineering projects.

The workload is wide ranging and covers all aspects of highway design from:-

* Feasibility Studies

* Premilary/Detail Designs

* Public Consultation

* Road Safety Audits

* Report Writing/Recommendations

This is a chance to be part of an established and experienced team of Highways Engineers and Highways Technicians providing innovative design within both time and cost limits.

Experience of working for a Local Authority would be benficial but not essential.

For the Technician role, you’ll be at least HND qualified and proficient in AutoCAD.

For the Engineer role, you’ll have relevant experience of Highways Engineering, Municipal Engineering or Traffic Engineering..

You’ll be able to multitask and prioritise, be a good communicator and able to cope with a high workload.

This temporary assignment is 37 hrs a week and anticipated to be for at least 6 months, potentially longer.
