Sales Manager

We are working with a high-end supplier of events services as they take the nest step in growing their business by employing a sales manager.

As Sales Manager, you will walk into a lead-rich environment supported by an outstanding marketing and social media plan. You will work to turn these leads into business by meeting clients on-site, advising them on the options available to make their events extra special and to create detailed and accurate notes or sketches of venue layout.

The sales manager will also deal with sales enquiries, whilst developing new business through prospecting and building alliance partnerships. You will play an active role in ensuring that promises made to clients are delivered. To promote the company and it’s services, you will be active in the events industry through promotions, marketing and sales / networking activities.

Due to the nature of the business, the sales manager will have to work on weekends and possibly after hours from time to time.

The ideal candidate for this role as sales manager will be enthusiastic, creative and inspiring, with a flair for detail and excellent listening skills. You will enjoy working with people and have a real empathy for their needs. You will be involved in making their event (wedding, party, corporate event) memorable through your ideas and creative input. A good spatial awareness and the ability to draw basic layouts, as well as the ability to make calculations and sound numeric skills are required. Past sales experience in the service industry is crucial. Experience of event management, venue and/or marquee hire, event planning or corporate event management is highly desirable.
