Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
We are currently looking for a Process Chemist to join a global leader in the formulation, manufacturing and marketing of petroleum additives for lubricants and fuels. The Process Chemist will work in the Manufacturing Technology team and will be based in the Oxfordshire area.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Process Chemist you will be responsible for the following:
1. Working within the Manufacturing Technology group to contribute to the delivery of projects related to process optimisation, cost containment and supply security.
2. Carrying out laboratory work including organic synthesis, analysis and process optimisation as well as subsequent writing of reports and data interpretation. This will support both New Product and Process Development projects.
3. Applying your skills across various areas of the business through collaboration with the manufacturing plant, procurement, scale-up facility and high-pressure laboratory.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application for Process Chemist we are looking to identify the following criteria. Unfortunately those who do not meet these requirements will not be considered because the successful candidate will need the appropriate experience to hit the ground running:
1. You will hold at least a degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline e.g. Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry etc.
2. It is essential that you have experience working within a chemistry laboratory and have a working knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques including HPLC, GC and FT-IR as well as knowledge of organic synthesis.
3. Previous industrial laboratory experience within the petrochemical sector would be desirable but not essential.
