Machine Shop Estimator

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Machine Shop Estimator to join an established business

* Liaise with purchasing to obtain prices for non standard materials, subcontract or other prices for inclusion in the unit cost estimate.
* Review customer drawing and technical specification changes and update process routes, costs and systems, where applicable, and passing information internally where applicable.
* Assist the introduction of new customer contracts from enquiry to full production.
* Use machine, material and process specific knowledge to improve process effectiveness and efficiency keeping up to date with advances in technology and processes to add value.
* Invest time in engineering and production (on the shop floor) developing product, joint knowledge and relationships.
* Liaise with clients regarding technical specifications as required.
