Grounds Maintenance Operatives & Supervisors – Temp to Perm

V-Recruit are currently looking for 4 x Grounds Maintenance Operatives and 2 x Grounds Maintenance Supervisors/Team Leaders to start work throughout the Somerset area.

Our client are a leading Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance contractor, and are recruiting for temp to perm operatives, along with 2 x Team Leaders to join their teams as soon as possible.

Duties to include:

• General maintenance and horticultural landscaping duties, including the interpretation of plans and drawings.
• Tree, shrub, and bedding plant planting
• Turfing and grass seed sowing, turf care and mechanical operations
• Hedge cutting and skilled shrub pruning
• Chemical control spraying, under direction
• To assist in the maintenance of essential equipment and depot areas
• To assist in gravedigging operations, including the excavation and shoring as dictated by ground conditions

Job specifics:

• These are temp-perm roles, with the first 12 weeks through V-Recruit, acting as a trial/probationary period
• Grounds Maintenance Operatives: £26,000 per year
• Grounds Maintenance Supervisors: £26,000 per year
• 40-45 hours per week

Candidate Qualifications/Skills

• Candidates must have a full UK driving licence
• PA1/PA6 is extremely desirable
• The successful candidates will have substantial, recent grounds maintenance experience, and be competent and knowledgeable in all of the above-mentioned duties and tasks.
•  Candidates will ideally have experience in using a wide range of horticultural machinery, including operation/driving of plant machinery
