Salary: £18 per hour
A large freight forwarding company require an ongoing temporary export/import operations agent to join a dynamic fast moving team.
The correct candidate will be able to carry out the following duties, but will not be restricted to:
Adhere to Customs compliance procedures and documentation, complete all the retrospective customs compliance actions and complete all customs entries for specialised licence movements.
Ensure the job file is fully completed to show all of the relevant information and services provided.
Liase with carriers, handling agents and all relevant departments with regards to shipping planning and coordinating and to resolve exceptions and discrepancies as they arise.
Maintain and update DfTcompliance records
The successful candidate will have two or more years experience within the freight forwarding industry, Knowledge of all processes within imports and exports, experience with HMRC procedures, clear and concise written and verbal communication and good interpersonal skills
You will also need to provide a Level CO certificate previously level D, five years checkable work history and a current CRB certificate.
