Employability and Retail Trainer

The Opportunity

A National Employability and Skills Training provider requires a Employability and Retail Trainer to work with learners based across their delivery sites across the Sheffield areas. You will be joining a team who deliver group tutorials to learners enrolled on a newly-developed programme, aimed at engaging young people on to Traineeships.

The Role

The organisation has developed strong partnerships with a national retailer across South Yorkshire and the vast majority of your delivery will be based from their grounds. You will be delivering a 13 week course that is designed to support 16 – 24 year olds in to employment or further training, this will primarily involve the teaching of Employability and Retail skills. At the foundation level, the process each learner follows incorporates classroom-based learning provided by you and your specialist co-tutors, and will quickly evolve into a mixture of continued classroom learning and a work placement with the retailer.

Following this, you will become a Mentor for each learner, providing advice and guidance along with a tailored support programme that is geared towards achieving sustainable outcomes.

To Interview

To interview for this role you must have experience in the delivery of Employability training and coaching services to small groups of young learners, ideally 16 – 24 year olds. You must also possess a relevant assessors qualification, i.e. A1/TAQA. Due to the travel involved in this role, you must also be a car owner to apply.
