Our client is a leading fresh food processing & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for several Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineers to join their expanding team. An exciting opportunity join one of the top UK, blue-chip food manufacturers, supplying into all the major supermarkets

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks and site repairs to assist operations in achieving maximum productivity and performance
• Working on 10 different production lines, producing a variety of different fresh food products
• Conduct maintenance machinery schedules & PPM’s and document
• Carry out fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on all machinery & equipment
• Working on such equipment as, conveyors, slicers, various automated packaging machinery, robotics, site services, palletisers & PLC’s
• Project work – machine upgrades, modifications, & continuous improvement work
• Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & maintenance daily
• At the end of a shift be responsible for completing engineering logbook, to record stock removed from engineering stores, ensuring accurate stock control & auditing

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer and have served an accredited apprenticeship
• Educated to a minimum City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering
• PLC – electrical fault-finding skills
• Ideally have worked in a food, FMCG & packaging manufacturing environment
• Must have strong electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills – able to work on own initiative
• Be a strong communicator, working closely with multiple discipline engineering & production teams
• Attitude is everything, positive, enthusiastic, willing to train & develop
• Must have excellent understanding of engineering systems, stores & PPM documentation
• Any experience of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques a bonus

Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift:- 12hr – 4 Days / 4 Off / 4 Nights / 4 Off (6-6)
• Salary:- £43,200 – £48,000+ Overtime
