Commercial Manager

Salary: £480 – £600 per day

We are now recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our client, a global engineering design and construction contractor operating within the offshore oil & gas and renewable energy sectors, on a permanent staff basis. The successful candidate will lead their commercial activities in their London office. 

Job Description: 

▪ Ensure an overall view of the actual and perspective commercial activities (partnership, business planning, strategic guidelines) for the client’s Business Division and secure new commercial acquisition as per their Strategic Plan.

▪ Screen the market within the related business area in order to identify projects that are of potential interest to our client. 

▪ Select, among the various projects identified, those projects, which for nature, size, location or complexity are suitable to company policy and features and would allow the company to bid in a frame of competitiveness

▪ Provide valuable inputs into proposal’s qualifications, win strategies, commercial discussions and design/engineering solutions

▪ Contact clients to gather further information on the project of interest and to formally express interest

▪ Contribute to the definition of a partnering strategy (if a partner is needed)

▪ Ensure the definition of a pre-bid agreement (if any)

▪ Negotiate the contract up to award 

▪ After the project acquisition, coordinate of handover activities to the Operations and contribute to the formulation of control budget.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience in commercial management, working on large scale offshore oil & gas or renewable energy sector projects. You should also be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline.
