Child Care Solicitor

Sue Ross Legal are working with a well known and respected Sheffield based law firm who are recruiting for a Child Care Solicitor.

You will be joining their highly commended Family team and duties will include;

* Handling your own caseload of private and publicly funded Child Care and Children Act work

* Providing advice, assistance and representation to clients

* Maintaining diary systems for court dates and timetables and limitation dates

* Producing documents and instructions

* Obtaining and reviewing expert reports

* Negotiating settlements

* Attending court to conduct own advocacy

* Instructing and briefing Counsel

* Assessing clients for public funding eligibility

* Submitting interim and final bills

* Liaising with the Legal Aid Agency

* Working to set targets

To be considered for this role it is essential that you are a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive and have circa 3 years + PQE (however, this is just a guide and candidates with more or less experience may also be considered).

It would be an advantage if you had Children Panel Membership but this is not essential.

You should have excellent communication and client care skills in order to uphold the high standards provided by the firm.
