Architectural Draughtsman

Salary: £30,000 – £48,000 per year

We are working alongside a successful building main contractor, who manufacture and install modular buildings across the UK. Main application is within the residential sector, but also have on-going projects within hospitality, leisure, health and education. They have recently won several new schemes and are keen to recruit a talented Architectural CAD Draughtsman. The contractor’s business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Architectural CAD draughtsman who will perform a variety of design/drafting activities: Converting customer specification into detailed productions drawings (AutoCAD). Working closely with department head to prepare detailed, accurate drawings from rough sketches and estimations, providing information required by clients and various approval bodies. Other responsibilities include checking the accuracy of drawings done by teammates, ensuring builder compliance, and preparing drawings for client presentations.

The successful Architectural CAD Draughtsman will have proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, producing 2D and ideally 3D models. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience of working for main contractors or Architectural practice
