Senior Application Consultant

About the role

In this role you’ll report to the Technical Delivery Manager, working closely with the Technical Delivery Consultants, maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of the team to provide a first class and quality service to our clients.

You’ll be accountable for providing high quality support to both our clients and our operations and implementation teams. This will cover all Moorepay products across both payroll and HR on our NextGen, Payplan and MPHR platforms.

You’ll the driving force behind customer requirements; raising quotes for bespoke work via the change request procedures, assessing the change request requirements, designing solutions that match the requirements, and creating the agreed bespoke solution within agreed timescales.

You’ll act as a point of escalation in the absence of the Technical Delivery Manager and ensure coaching and mentoring is provided to the Technical Delivery Consultants.

Key responsibilities include:

Change Control

Assess client requirements and identify solutions, working across Moorepay with both our account management and operational teams as necessary.
Provide quotes direct to clients.
Schedule work based on priority, impact on customer, and revenue to Moorepay – Ensure revenue is logged and client billed once completed.
Raise Feature requests with Development if bespoke software is required.
Consultancy

Advise, support and test interfaces in and outbound.
Analysis and provide advice on the best technology options such as API and HR to Pay or Mapper.
Provide on-site and potentially off-site consultancy with clients.
Account manage from a Tech Delivery point of view larger clients and especially Partners.
Pre Sales

Assist the Sales Team by assessing prospective client requirements.
Providing solutions for any requirements not in scope of the standard Implementation build.
Provide quotes to Sales team for any bespoke work and attend pre-sales calls with prospective clients.
New Business Onboarding

Create bespoke build requirements in collaboration with the Implementation team.
Schedule and prioritise work to support new business going live on schedule.
UAT

Review Functional Specifications of new functionality prior to Development.
Be a Subject Matter Expert and attend walk throughs of Technical Specification / QA handover.
Provide UAT for new releases of Moorepayhr as part of the Early Adoption Programme.
Provide UAT of bespoke software.
Skills and experience required

Payroll and/or HR experience with formal qualifications an advantage.
Good technical knowledge of HR and payroll systems.
A working knowledge of Outsourcing businesses / SaaS an advantage.
Change Management experience.
Report writing skills – Moorepayhr and IBM Query knowledge an advantage.
Naturally customer focused.
Commercial awareness, specifically related to spotting revenue opportunities.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
