Up to 12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover
£28,000 – £30,500 per annum
Loughborough LE11 3QF based, with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week

Media Officer Responsibilities
As Media Relations Officer you will support the delivery of our overall MarComms plan. You will design a programme of Media and PR activity in support of our objectives and priorities as well as develop key messages and identify case studies to highlight the impact of our work. We will look to you to seek out and cultivate strong relationships with relevant and appropriate media outlets and journalists too. You will handle media enquiries, manage our high profile ambassadors, get involved with reputation and crisis communications planning. You will also monitor and evaluate our impact, share learning and use insight gained to improve performance.
What we are looking for
You must have proven PR experience in a press office role with national scope and an eye for a good story. Expert at developing proactive media strategies, you will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the media landscape and possess strong contacts with relevant national and specialist journalists. You will also be detail orientated, possess good writing and editorial skills and be great at developing relationships both inside and outside an organisation. Excellent at multitasking, you will be a strong team player who is able to take the initiative and prioritise workloads when needed.
