Business Change Manager
Salary: Up to £65,000 dependent on experience + annual bonus + pension + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Location: Hybrid working
Purpose of the role
As our Business Change Manager, you will, in partnership with the business representatives, execute the change management activities for the agreed strategic change programmes and projects from benefits identification through to benefits realisation, assessing progress towards realisation and achieving measured improvements in business operations.
You’ll also be responsible for maintaining visibility and understanding of all change that will impact your designated function(s)/programmes(s).
Key Accountabilities
Some of the key responsibilities you will have will include but are not limited to:
Work with the Business Architect, Process Leads, SMEs and Programme Managers to complete detailed business impact assessments and develop the business change plan for the agreed and prioritised opportunities for the complex strategic change programmes, acting as a bridge between programme management and business operation
Obtain assurance from the relevant business operations that the change plan will deliver the required benefits
Work with the programme manager to ensure that the work of the programme covers the necessary aspects required to deliver the products or services that will lead to operational benefits
Identifying, defining and supporting the business realisation planning and outcomes required of the programme
Lead the transition / release management ensuring that business as usual is maintained during the transition and the changes are effectively integrated into the business
Preparing the business readiness plan for the transition to new ways of working and ensuring necessary launch approval and go/no go decisions are managed to a pre-defined set of criteria
Optimising the timing of the release of project deliverables into business operations
Knowledge and Skills Required
Essential:
Significant experience of managing transformational change in large organisations
Qualified in change management practices
Strong stakeholder management
Strong leadership skills able to lead both direct and matrix teams across the business
Good commercial acumen, able to develop and manage complex business cases
Desirable:
Experience of working within the water industry across waste and clean water
Experience of working with in-house customer experience or commercial retail teams
Educated to degree or higher
