Year 4 Teacher

Salary: £144 – £192 per day

Role: Key Stage Two teacher, full time
Location: Walsall, WS3
Starting: September
Finishing: October Half-Term
 
Flourish Education is currently working with a ‘Good’ one-form entry school in the Walsall area. The school has a supportive and welcoming staff team who are looking for a teacher to join their teaching team in September until October Half-Term, but could continue longer.
 
The ideal Key Stage Two teacher would be someone who has experience teaching in a class in Key Stage Two. The posts will be in a Year 4 class, so experience in this year groups would be advantageous. There is already planning in place but you would be expected to tweak the planning to best fit the class. The staff member would be expected to become part of the staff during this time, upholding all the professional responsibilities of a full-time member of staff about marking/ feedback, attending staff meetings etc. As this is a long-term role, the candidate would be expected to form strong relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents – reporting progress and attainment to them.
 
ECT’s are encouraged to apply – Relevant KS2 placement experience is a must

⦁ Qualified teacher status.
⦁ Previous experience in KS2.
⦁ Knowledge of age-related standards for Year 4.
⦁ DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
⦁ Minimum of 2 excellent references required.

⦁ To plan, assess and monitor pupil progress.
⦁ To build effective relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
⦁ To communicate and direct additional staff to support pupils.
⦁ To follow the school behaviour policy and code of conduct.
⦁ To attend staff meetings and CPD training that is relevant to the role.
