This is a fast growing company, with a focus on online finance and business publications and training. The demand for our online books, mock exams and training videos has grown significantly and we are looking for someone to join our team to support the development of our range of products.

Ideally you will be excellent at researching new topics and be able to produce high quality training materials based on that research. These are likely to include study notes, mock exams, objective test questions, presentation slides and course videos. We have a reputation for clear, focused writing and study material that helps our students understand complex topics quickly and clearly, and it’s important that you are able to write with the learner’s perspective in mind. Since you will be involved in recording videos a good presentation style will also be an asset.

The role is ideal for those with a finance or business background or graduates with business and finance related degrees. Applicants with other degrees and backgrounds will be considered too where there is a genuine interest in writing, publishing and training. A strong academic background would be helpful as a way to demonstrate your ability to pick up complex ideas quickly.

In addition to the publication elements of the role, you will be part of a growing business and as such will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of ad-hoc projects related to the marketing and launch of new product areas, supporting the development of your wider business skills. You will also be involved in developing business ideas during our monthly innovation meetings and will take part in regular training sessions designed to build a range of relevant skills.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and self-managing, and you will need to manage your own projects towards clear deadlines. You should be web savvy, with strong computer and IT skills, have an excellent writing style and an eye for detail.

In return for your hard work you can expect a Salary: £26,000per year. You will have the flexibility to work both at our office in Frome and from home, with most staff working an average of 2 days a week from home.

Ideally the applicant will have aspirations to develop their career and take on a management role. While the business continues to expand there is significant potential for the right applicant to take on management of a product based division within 2-3 years of joining.
