Workshop Supervisor

Salary: £22.8 per hour

My client is investing and expanding his company – which is in the mini crane hire sector – he is a true entrepreneur and invests in his teams as well as his businesses.

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor with excellent organisation skills and a high customer service approach to their working life.

Reporting to the General Manager your responsibilities will be:

Prepare, Supervise and Control Workshop activities

Scheduling of work into the Service Department

Assisting Engineers to ensure servicing and maintenance of equipment is managed in an efficient and timely manner

On completion of service or repairs inspect and test machinery to ensure these are completed to the standard required

Ensure all equipment is ready for next hire contract

Ensure all tools are available and maintained and in suitable working condition

Set a regular Workshop cleaning schedule

Assist in afterhours call outs and weekly on call rota

Then with your Team in the Workshop

Advise and induct all new starters of company policies and procedures

Ensure existing team are aware and trained in any new policies and procedures

Maintain a well trained workforce

Supervise training as required

Look after the development and progress of Apprentices and Kick Start employees

With the Management

Suggest improvements to the Workshop operation
