WORKSHOP FITTER (PLANT HIRE)

Position: Workshop Fitter

Salary
Circa £20k DOE + Overtime

The Role
As a team member you will work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and have the ability and experience to service, repair and maintain a wide range of construction plant equipment.

The Company
Our client is continually improving the growth of their depot network and expanding their hire product range and as a result are now looking to recruit a workshop fitter for their depot based in the Darlington area.

Responsibilities of the Workshop Fitter

Servicing, repairing and modifying all types of construction plant machinery including HGVs.
To manage administration tasks and complete all service and repair records accurately.
Work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude to customer service.
Maintain Health and Safety to Company and HSE regulations.

Skills Required of the Workshop Fitter

An engineering or mechanical background is essential along with an NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent.
Knowledge of diesel engines
Analytical approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Basic IT skills
Full driving licence

The ideal candidate will be located in either of the following areas; Newcastle, Brandon, Wingate, Bishop Middleham, Crook, Bishop Auckland, Barnard Castle, Ferryhill, Newton Aycliffe, Stockton-on-Tees, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Hartlepool, Egglescliffe, Eaglescliffe, Stokesley, Ingleby, Northhallerton, Bedale, ellington, Leyburn, Richmond and surrounding towns and villages.
