Works Manager

The Company:
A leader in the Architectural Fabrication industry. Renowned for delivering high quality in house press-metal, bonding and powder coating offering a full facade installation facility whilst delivering a top class service to industries such as roofing, cladding and glazing.

An exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take on the challenging role of Works Manager at the new facility who is capable of ‘leading from the front’.
Key Responsibilities include:
– Motivating a high performing team, delivering on agreed business, production and operational targets
– Ensuring profit delivery through the optimisation of productivity and production planning
– Control of materials and manpower to fulfil project requirements
– Providing a clear link of communication between all parts of the business, anticipating future challenges and workloads within the workplace.
Specifically they will be responsible for:-
– Identifying material quantities required
– Optimisation of productivity and production planning
– Quality control of the product through the entire production process
– Logistics management that ensures an “on-time” delivery of products
– Enforcing health and safety standards within the workplace
– Conducting shop floor inductions for new employees; absence and holiday management
– Identifying training needs and keeping accurate employee training records
The Person:
The ideal candidate will:
– Have a proven ability in motivating teams to achieve targets
– Be conversant in productivity methods to achieve maximum efficiency
– Be able to understand Performance Management systems thoroughly
– Must have excellent communication skills at a senior level within an organisation
Other desirable skills include: understanding of invoicing systems, experience within logistics and experience in recruitment and selection.
The Package:
A very desirable salary package is offered to the right candidate for this role £42,000 – £51,000depending on experience
